Luis gave us a competitive quote and followed up throughout the job to make sure everything was done to meet or exceed our expectations. Luis & his team, from Karla in the office to the men doing the work, were professional and responsive from our 1st call. They did a great job adding paved aprons to our street. G&L did an amazing job on our driveway and rock excavation! We sourced three competitive bids for the job and they were not only the best price, but also professional, responsive and dependable. Even with the significant amount of rain this spring, the office was helpful and honest with updates, details and timing both prior to and during the paving process. Bottom line: I was very pleased with the work G&L did on my driveways and they were easy to deal with.   If I had it to do over again I would not hesitate to hire them again.
Details:  I have two driveways, both of which were asphalt and in very bad shape.  G&L did one in asphalt (it was too steep for gravel) and the other in gravel.  The gravel driveway included an asphalt apron at the street, then a segment of Belgium blocks, and then gravel (1/2” native stone).  They also reset the Belgium block borders.
I am mostly retired, and have some experience with construction, so I checked on their work frequently.  The G&L crews were diligent, worked hard, respected my property, and most importantly did first rate work.  It did not ever seem like they were cutting corners.  They took the time to do the job right, and my driveways look great.  Getting lots of compliments from the neighbors.
With regard to pricing, G&L was competitive with, and even slightly lower, than the other highly rated driveway contractors from whom I got quotes.  For me that is good place to be.  I don’t want to spend more than I need to but am also suspicious if a quote is substantially lower than quality competitors.
